Our lives are a complex weave of stories. There are the tales we tell about ourselves, about the world, and about others, but there also exist the stories that we’re born into and the ones the world, and others, tell us about ourselves. These stories have immense power, they influence everything we do, we say, we think, and feel; so it’s important that we ask ourselves a few questions:
-
What are my stories and where do they come from?
-
How do they impact me?
-
How has my story changed over time?
-
And where do I want my story to go?

My name is Sam and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space in which we explore your story together as fellow adventurers. I approach the therapeutic process from an eclectic lens, but I mainly focus on narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and family systems therapy. I work with individuals, couples, and families and am comfortable with all issues.
I look forward to working with you!

“No matter your position, circumstances, or opportunities in life, you always have the freedom of mind to choose how you experience, interpret, and, ultimately, shape your world.” ― Brendon Burchard
Ever since I can remember, I wanted to save the world, even if it meant only one person. I soon realized it was not about saving per se, but creating an empathic, accepting, and collaborative space for individuals to be their authentic selves as they grapple with the various facets of the human condition.
Fundamentally, I believe in your worth, your capacity, and that you are the expert on you. I strive to provide an authentic therapeutic experience for you to be known, seen, heard, while bringing about motivation and freedom to enact real and lasting change.
I am a trauma-informed clinician that has worked with individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, grief and loss, substance use and addiction, domestic violence, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD, ADHD), and parenting and co-parenting.
My educational background includes a master’s degree from William Jessup University in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. I have additional training in Addiction Treatment and Prevention Services, Alternatives for Families-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Parent-Child Care.

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes that can make life challenging. As your therapist I will walk alongside you and honor where you are at in your journey. I will create a safe space for you to search for meaning and understanding as you navigate life. I enjoy creating meaningful connections with my clients. I am passionate about supporting my clients in exploring and processing all things that come with being human, developing insight and awareness, identifying beliefs, stories, or patterns that are not serving you, healing from emotional wounds/trauma, increasing self-love and self-compassion, finding concrete solutions to change, teaching positive coping skills, and building resiliency and empowerment. My intention will be to serve as your guide in reaching your own destination and goals.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, honoring mind, body, and soul. I am trauma-informed and use a culturally sensitive lens. I practice through various modalities and work with my clients to find the approach that fits them best based on their individual needs.
I have 11 years of experience working with kids, teens, adolescents, and adults who have struggled with life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, ADHD, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and self-esteem/self worth; or who solely want to work on self-development and improving their well-being.

I also provide ketamine integration psychotherapy in group and individual therapy settings
to individuals undergoing ketamine therapy for treatment resistant anxiety, depression, PTSD, and chronic pain.
