Jennifer Flood Marriage and Family Therapy Group Inc. is a group psychotherapy practice based in Sacramento, California. Our experienced, well-rounded, and compassionate therapists draw from leading evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and the Gottman Method.
Our goal is to help you live a fulfilling life with happier relationships and support you in managing your anxiety or depression. All therapists work with adults, teens, and children to support healing from past traumatic experiences and stressors via in-person or through online (Telehealth) sessions. In addition, several of our therapists have specialized training supporting couples and families.

Get to Know Our Founder Jen
Jen Flood is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She specializes in helping individuals reach their goals whether it be optimizing a relationship, a career change, managing grief, or just feeling better overall. Jen also works with couples and families, and she is happy to adjust her therapeutic approach to match the needs of her clients and meet them wherever they are at. In addition to providing direct therapy, Jen supervises a team of licensed and pre-licensed clinicians. Jen takes pride in supporting a diverse team that represents the community we serve. Jen also provides consulting to therapists seeking to start or grow their private practice. Before starting her own practice, Jen worked as a clinical director for a community-based healthcare service provider, where she oversaw multiple programs providing mental health services to youth and young adults. In addition, Jen worked at the University of California where she counseled undergraduate and graduate students focusing on managing and navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, and career goals. Jen also spent two years managing an outpatient program that focused on working with clients diagnosed with autism and other related behavioral disorders like ADHD. In sum, Jen has expertise working with individuals facing addiction, anger issues, domestic violence, and trauma. Jen earned her bachelor's degree in clinical nutrition from the University of California, Davis, and has master’s degrees in counseling psychology from the University of San Francisco and forensic psychology from California State University, San Francisco.
